In this thesis, we propose a generic testing framework for executable DSLs. While many testing frameworks exist for general-purpose programming languages, providing testing facilities for any given xDSL remains a costly and challenging task. Testing is the most prevalent dynamic V&V technique in the field of software engineering. A DSL with execution facilities, referred to as Executable DSL (xDSL), enriches the modeling quality by enabling the employment of dynamic Verification & Validation (V&V) techniques. A model is a specific abstraction of a system that can be defined by a Domain-Specific Language (DSL). Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) is a development paradigm that meets this requirement by separating concerns through models.

Import .The continuous growth of software complexity raises the need for effective complexity management. Listed below are some commonly used annotations provided in a test a custom display name for the test class or test that the annotated method should be executed before each test that the annotated method should be executed after each test that the annotated method should be executed before all test that the annotated method should be executed after all test to disable a test class or test that the annotated class is a nested, non-static test tags for filtering custom extensions

There are various new features got introduced in it. But one can still test code which is compiled using previous Java versions. JUnit5 maven surefire provider to execute the unit tests where IDE does not have JUnit5 support (if IDE has support then this point is not required). To implement JUnit5 based test cases in a project, add the following dependency to the pom.xml file of the project: Provides support to execute previous JUnit version 3 and 4 tests on this new platform.Blend of new programming model for writing tests and extension model for extensions.
